To the Developing Woman - Ude Ugo

A stretch mark is a rupture under the skin caused by stretching of the elastic fibers underneath it. Though painless, they leave a visible trace pattern on our skin. It’s no fib, I have them, you have them but almost every woman seems to be ashamed of them, but why? It’s an irony that they are caused by stages in life that we all wish for like pregnancy and childbirth at times weight gain and weight loss.

Varieties of soaps, lotions and creams boast that they help these scars fade but they tend to reappear or just remain the same. This brings me to a conclusion that they are meant to be: they are God’s handwriting on our bodies reminding us of how that waist got thinner and your hips widened. They tell of good and bad times like when you added a few pounds because of PMS. Stretch marks are the ranks and badges on our shoulders that represent our body’s change from ‘plain pretty’ to ‘curvy’.
Most celebrities go to the point of showing theirs on the net to encourage those who think they are alone in this game and are struggling with getting a perfect body.

Trials and challenges are like stretch marks, they mostly leave a permanent mark in our lives but when we overcome them we become mature and more experienced. The same way we are not likely to remember that stretch marks are one sign of growth and our bodies stretching to be able to accommodate another is the same way we tend not to remember that trials are here to help us become experienced are to prepare us for bigger things ahead. Same way stretch marks cannot be removed is the same way what we learn from overcoming challenges cannot be removed, they help your ability to handle certain challenges and temptations. People go ahead to tell us of the challenges they face to help us overcome and see that we are not alone in this.

Ladies, every ‘stretch mark’ is a line in your beautiful story of your transition from childhood to womanhood and so are challenges. EVERY WOMAN has them and those who don’t….. well, regard them as KIDS. Every stretch mark [challenge] tells your story; you’re almost there.

PEACE!!!

  1. Stretch Mark Dermalmd Removal Serum worked wonders for me! NO stretch marks during pregnancy and lightened up the stretch marks I got on my hips from previous pregnancy.
